Priority update - Paddock Wood |
||||
|
Dear Residents.
I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend. Following a busy few shifts, I wanted to provide an update on some positive results relating to the priorities that you have identified through conversations with us and the surveys you have completed regarding the issues that matter most to you in Paddock Wood.
Road safety: Following on from recent vehicle seizures, a further two vehicles have been seized whilst Louis and I were proactively patrolling Paddock Wood. One vehicle came to police attention in the Green Lane area, whilst the other was identified after passing officers at speed. Both drivers tried to evade police however, both vehicles were subsequently located and seized. As these remain ongoing investigations, we are unable to comment further at this stage. However, we are pleased with these results and with the removal of these vehicles from our roads.
Catapults: Following reports received last week regarding the use of catapults in the Green Lane area, Louis and I carried out enquiries and spoke with local residents. Thanks to the quick thinking of a resident who was able to capture an image of those involved, we have identified all three individuals linked to the incident and our investigation is ongoing.
Anti-social behaviour (nuisance): Working alongside our partner agencies, including local housing providers and the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, we have recently responded to a number of reports of anti-social behaviour across the town. In the past week, a joint police and council warning has been issued in relation to one incident. We have also supported a housing association in tenancy enforcement proceedings following a criminal investigation which resulted in a court conviction.
Continuing to Tackle Local Issues: This update provides only a small insight into the work being carried out in Paddock Wood. We remain committed to tackling the issues that matter most to our community and ensuring reports are followed up wherever possible. Whilst we continue to respond to emergency calls and incidents across the district, we will do everything we can to address the concerns raised by residents. As always, I would encourage everybody to continue reporting incidents to Kent Police via the appropriate channels: 999 – Emergency incidents or crimes in progress. 101, Kent Police Live Chat, or Online Reporting – Non-emergency matters.
Thank you for your continued support and assistance.
Kind regards, PC Connor Geelan & PC Louis Scudder. Beat Officer's - Paddock Wood. | ||||
